Responsible Use
Landlord Record is a research product, not an eligibility-screening service.
The service is designed to help people understand properties and housing-provider records. It must not be used to make decisions the product was not built, verified, or legally structured to support.
Do not use Landlord Record for
- Tenant or housing eligibility decisions. Do not use Landlord Record to approve, deny, rank, score, or set terms for a person seeking housing.
- Employment decisions. Do not use the service for hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, or other employment eligibility.
- Credit or lending decisions. Do not use it to determine creditworthiness, lending, financing, or account eligibility.
- Insurance eligibility or pricing. Do not use it to underwrite, rate, or determine eligibility for insurance.
- Consumer-reporting purposes. Do not represent Landlord Record as a consumer report or use it where a consumer-reporting agency report is required.
- Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or doxxing. Public-record availability does not authorize harmful targeting or publication of private personal information.
- Identity theft, fraud, impersonation, or unauthorized account access.
- Discrimination or unlawful profiling. Do not use the service to discriminate against a protected person or class.
- Automated mass harvesting or resale. Do not scrape or redistribute the service or source data in violation of source terms or applicable law.
Permitted research examples
Examples include researching a property before signing a lease, understanding who an official record associates with a property, reviewing a housing provider's source-backed public record, comparing eligible properties, and checking the original source behind a displayed fact.
